Former Congressman Emmanuel Dapidran "Manny" Pacquiao of Saranggani province, now a senator of the Philippines, also a Filipino professional boxer famous worldwide is a proud passer and Ambassador of ALS. Senator Paquiao was the first and only eight-time world title holder in boxing. Sen. Paquiao was not able to complete his secondary education due to poverty. He started his career in boxing and rose to the limelight after winning several world title belts, 8 World Championship belts in a row!!!. He was able to finish his secondary education through the Alternative Learning System of the Department of Education. He was elected in the House of Representative and became the Congressman of the Lone District of Sarangani in the 16th Congress of the Philippines. Now he is serving as a senator and according to reports, he is planning to run as president in the 2022 presidential elections.
